If you are arriving by train, take the number 4 bus (First buses) or number 44 (York Pullman buses) to the University of York, asking for Wentworth Way. Make your way down the hill along Wentworth Way, past the greenhouses on your left, this road ends at Wentworth College which is on the west side of campus.

York Structural Biology Laboratory is located within the Department of Biology.

Our laboratory is currently on the ground floor on L0 corridor. You will need key card access to enter so please make yourself known to reception.

  • If you are entering the department from the lake side of Biology (central campus), once through the entrance to Biology beside the lake pass along the long corridor with teaching labs on the right and ‘Cookies’ cafe half way down on the left; continue through double automatic doors outside again, then into the biology atrium. Reception is found at the far end of the atrium.
  • If you are entering the department from the west side of campus, along Wentworth Way, pass across the car park on your left, make your way through the revolving door or automatic doors of the larger of the two modern buildings. Once inside, reception will be on your immediate right. Our laboratory is in the centre of this map (the left of the two large grey rectangles).

Parking is available on the North Car Park (below) which is 5-10 minutes away. Other parking may be available outside the laboratory. If close parking is a priority please contact us in advance. See also the Estates website for further information.

Please make yourself known to reception where someone can greet you.

If you have any further questions please contact us.
We look forward to greeting you.
